Employment Opportunities at Mid-Rivers Communications

 

 

DISPATCH & REPAIR TECHNICIAN – GLENDIVE, MT:
Minimum entrance requirement is a High School Diploma or equivalent certificate. Performs logging of troubles, analyzing alarms, network services support, dispatching personnel, maintaining hardware devices and assisting in software changes and implementation. Strong computer skills are required. Must be familiar with accessing or navigating the Internet. Customer service experience and interpersonal skills are required. Must have or be able to obtain a valid Montana Driver’s License.  This position is shift work. Position remains open until filled.

OUTSIDE PLANT ENGINEER - GLENDIVE, MT

Two (2) years telephone company experience is preferred. Associate/Bachelor Degree in related field is preferred but not required. Appropriate education may be substituted for experience. Experience providing general familiarity with outside plant construction and maintenance preferred. Engineering design and specification for outside telephone and CATV plant construction and maintenance engineering and associated administration for outside telecommunications and CATV plant facilities records. Computer skills are highly desirable. Must have or be able to obtain a valid Montana Driver’s License. Review of applications will begin on June 27, 2008; position will remain open until filled.

 

COMBINATION TECHNICIAN – MILES CITY, MT- (position requires that individual must live close enough to reporting location so that individual is able to respond in the time allotted).  Two years of telecommunications experience is preferred.  Strong background in CATV is desired.  Computer skills are preferred.  The candidate should have excellent communications and organizational skills and the desire to work in a team environment.  Must have or be able to obtain a valid Montana Drivers License.  Review of applications will begin on June 27, 2008; position will remain open until filled. 

 

SEASONAL CONSTRUCTION WORKER - Miles City, MT:

No experience required, however must be able to be trained to operate construction equipment and perform construction duties.  Reporting location is Miles City, MT.  Position will remain open until filled. 

 

SEASONAL COMBINATION TECHNICIAN – BAKER , MT:
No experience required, however the candidate must be able to be trained in the Outside Plant job duties. Computer skills are preferred. The candidate should have excellent communications and organizational skills and the desire to work in a team environment. Must have or be able to obtain a valid Montana Driver's License. Position will remain open until filled. 

 

OSP ENGINEER - LEWISTOWN, MT: Two (2) years telephone company experience is preferred. Associate/Bachelor Degree in related field is preferred but not required. Appropriate education may be substituted for experience. Experience providing general familiarity with outside plant construction and maintenance preferred. Engineering design and specification for outside telephone and CATV plant construction and maintenance engineering and associated administration for outside telecommunications and CATV plant facilities records. Computer skills are highly desirable. Must have or be able to obtain a valid Montana Driver’s License. Review of applications will begin on April 22, 2008, position will remain open until filled.

 
COE TECHNICIAN – LEWISTOWN, MT (position requires that individual must live close enough to reporting location so that individual is able to respond in the time allotted).

Associates degree in Electronics is preferred but not required. Advanced working knowledge of digital central office equipment and microwave radio.  Working knowledge of fiber optic equipment.  Desirable to have an understanding of Cellular, 2-way radio paging operations and other wireless communications.  Desirable to have a thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity (A.C. and D.C.) and a good understanding of digital theory.  Strong working knowledge of CATV headends and plant distribution equipment is preferred.  Experience in cable modem and Internet operation over a coaxial network would be beneficial.  Computer skills are required.  Must have or be able to obtain a valid Montana Driver’s License.  Position will remain open until filled.

 

SEASONAL CONSTRUCTION WORKER – CIRCLE, MT:
No experience required, however must be able to be trained to operate construction equipment and perform construction duties. Must have or be able to obtain a valid Montana Drivers License and a Class A Commercial Driver License for the operation of heavy trucks and commercial vehicles or equipment. Position will remain open until filled.
